Challenge 19: First Kiss
"Write about a first kiss, or what leads up to it, or what follows it. You may use any of the Smallville characters."

This challenge tempts me to pair unlikely characters, at least initially. The first entry, hoping more will follow.

Clark raised a hand, letting dark hair cascade through his fingers. One strand snagged on the red crystal of his ring. Holding a fistful of dusky locks to his lips, he smiled.

"I could love you," he murmured, "If I didn't already love someone else."

"What of it?" she shrugged. "So do I." Clark grinned, eyes darkening, and pushed her back against the wall.

Heat from Clark's body warming her, Helen shook her head, smirking as though indulging a child. "We shouldn't be doing this."

"Why not? While the cat's away..." He wondered how long Lex's business meeting would last.

"Lex won't care," Helen slid an arm around Clark's waist. "He'll probably be pleased."

Clark moved in closer, tipped up her chin, and let his lips part. The kiss was deep, and crimson fireworks exploded behind Helen's closed eyelids and spread through her body.
