The situation at the end of "Reaper," always bothered me, so here's my solution. It answers Challenge 16: : "Someone in Smallville changes an old habit. It can be a good habit or a bad one. Just show us what happens!"

Jonathan lugged the tackle box into the kitchen. He looked outside, smiling at the peach glow on the horizon. They'd be on the road by dawn. The bass and walleye should really be biting after the rain.

Lex Luthor can keep his football tickets, Jonathan thought, pleased that Clark had come around. He was lucky to have Clark for a son. A good boy, generous. Never asked much.

Always have to win, don’t you? His inner voice surprised him.

Maybe he wasn't so different from the Luthors after all.

Clark came down the stairs, a sleepy smile on his face. Jonathan turned with a sigh.

"Clark, you're right. Time for a change. Instead of fishing, let's do something we'll both enjoy. Movies? Six Flags? You pick."

Clark's eyes widened in surprised pleasure. "Really, Dad? But, why?"

"Because I'm glad you're my son," Jonathan said.
