At last. Darius had spilled, now he had proof. He’d work on convincing everyone else after he found Lex. And, God, he had to find him at once.

He wasn’t sure why he’d trained his x-ray through the door as he passed. Just a door, one of many. But what he saw froze him where he stood.

Pictures of his parents. His discarded family tree, blown up to many times its original size. His own face, in black and white, magnified, staring back at him. Clark caught his breath.

It couldn’t be. Maybe he was the one going crazy.

He broke open the door.

It was for real.

Clark wondered frantically what to do. After he found Lex. And it was even more crucial that he find Lex, now.

He tried to ignore the cold wave of dread he felt as he sped off.
