"Jonathan, be careful. You'll embarrass them!" Martha laid a hand on Jonathan’s arm and peered outside and around him, in spite of her words.

"Clark looks great," Jonathan smiled. "Hope it doesn't storm tonight, though. That wind's picking up."

"What a shame. On their big night. Pity about the truck, too, but at least Chloe has a car. Pretty tonight, isn't she?"

"Really pink," Jonathan observed.

"Shame on you! She looks lovely, Jonathan." His wife gazed into the courtyard, grew thoughtful. "She brought him a boutonniere. White. He looks so grown up. They both do. However did this happen so fast?"

"We blinked," said Jonathan. "Kind of sad, isn't it? Seems like yesterday..."

"I know he says he likes Lana, but I wouldn't mind if--"

"Come on, Matchmaker. Let's give them some privacy. Hope they'll have fun tonight." Jonathan let the curtain drop.
